The software support specialist will act as the face of the business for this bespoke application, dealing with, queueing, prioritising and resolving support tickets.


  • Logging client and user queries
  • Supporting the GBO online platform
  • Setting up client accounts
  • Receiving alerts on scheduled task and troubleshooting where necessary
  • Escalating issues with business managers as appropriate
  • Taking ownership of reported issues/queries and seeing them through to resolution
  • Escalating as necessary: after gathering facts, doing background analysis and verifying the problem, present finding and any recommendations.
  • Following up on escalated tickets, keeping stakeholders in the loop then finally reporting back with the appropriate response


  • 3 -4 years in a support role and SQL knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to manage task to completion
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems to resolution
  • Basic to intermediate SQL experience
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • The ability to think outside the box
